Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Emma & Tom’s brand philosophy?

Health is key to being able to experience happiness. Our philosophy can be summed up by our moto “Look After Yourself”. We provide you with nourishment so that you can take care of yourself, as well as those around you. When you’re healthy, everyone benefits.

Are Emma and Tom real people, or is this just another Big Corporation/pseudo brand?

Once upon a time, in the late 70’s, two twelve year old kids were at the Harold Holt Memorial Pool, taking swimming lessons. They looked at each other through their goofy goggles and soon they became close friends. They were healthy and happy. The girl was Emma (Walsh) and the boy was Tom (Griffith). Their friendship persisted over their teenage years and into their adulthood. In 2004 they decided to launch a company together, sharing their love for health and happiness. So, yes, Emma and Tom are real people.

Are Emma and Tom life partners?

Emma and Tom have been close friends since they were twelve. But, no, they are not life partners. Emma is married to Michael, who also works in the company and they have a son. Tom has two gorgeous young daughters, Ursula and Raphaela.

How would you describe Emma & Tom’s approach to developing their products?

We try and keep it as simple as possible when it comes to developing our products. All of our products share three common characteristics: they are made from all natural ingredients, are minimally processed and have no added sugar.

Why does Emma & Tom’s juice need to be kept refrigerated?

Everything we produce is free from anything artificial; nasty chemicals that can extend shelf life but can destroy nutrient value. We flash pasteurise and cold fill our juices as we try to minimise the amount of processing. Having all natural products, without preservatives, using minimal processing means that in order to maintain the quality and integrity of our juice they need to be stored at or below 4 degrees Celsius.

Are Emma & Tom’s products vegan friendly?

All of our products are vegan friendly with the exception of the Chia bars, which contain Manuka honey, as well as our all natural, no added sugar milk range, which, you guessed it, contain milk.
